The world’s foremost paper cultures from M-real Zanders
Japan is the first destination in a grand tour of the world’s foremost paper cultures, and M-real Zanders is inviting creative directors, designers, printers, finishers and end-users to join in the journey.
The full series of mailings will reflect M-real Zanders’ own impressive paper culture, with each mailing printed on one of its different speciality papers.
M-real increases Speciality Papers prices
M-real is to increase the prices for its one side coated label and flexible packaging papers produced at its Simpele mill in Finland and M-real Zanders Gohrsmühle mill in Germany.
The price increase will range from 5 to 6 per cent depending on grade and region and is to come into effect for all invoicing from the 1 October 2010.
M-real increases carbonless paper prices by 8-10 per cent
Current sales prices of carbonless paper, despite an already realised increase in April, are not sufficient and do not cover the steadily rising cost for pulp and logistics.
Therefore, another price increase of 8-10 % will be implemented by mid July 2010.
M-real is planning to partially divest Reflex paper mill
M-real Corporation, part of Metsäliitto Group, has today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) regarding a partial divestment of Reflex mill to Metsä Tissue Corporation, also a part of Metsäliitto Group, for approximately EUR 10 million.
The divestment includes paper machine 5 and related real estate as well as certain infrastructure assets. Metsä Tissue is planning to convert the paper machine to grades that are not competing with M-real’s grades.
