The ZANDERS Technology department is staffed by a team of engineers and technicians whose job is to support the ongoing improvement of our products and manufacturing processes.
The depth of product knowledge available perfectly positions the team to provide technical support to production with the aim of maintaining the quality of our products at the high level to which our customers are accustomed. The team also makes a contribution to the introduction of new products to production and the further development of production processes. All product developments are tested on an in-house state-of-the-art Heidelberger Speedmaster before being introduced to the market.

We also have a technical school equipped with two test applicator coaters for the development of our papers and processes. In terms of make-up, one of these machines corresponds to a CHROMOLUX production unit and is mainly used for the further development of our cast coated papers. The second machine is mainly used for the development of our digital papers.
We also have numerous analysis devices for evaluating laboratory, production and pilot benchmark tests. The following are worth noting:
Tapio paper analyser
A device for measuring different paper properties. The evaluation of longitudinal and latitudinal profiles is possible allowing systematic errors in the paper production process to be recognised.
Electronic scaring microscope
An ESM allows the examination of samples with a resolution of up to 3.5 nm, or samples that have been enlarged by a max of 150,000. The distribution of anorganic elements in a sample can be examined for quality and quantity with an auxiliary attachment.
Infrared microscope
An IR microscope allows the qualitative examination of the organic make-up of surfaces and areas as small as 10 nm.
