| Curtain up! M-real Zanders presents the relaunch of its ZANDERS ikono art paper
 
Bergisch Gladbach, 20 January 2004. — An outstanding start to the year for M-real Zanders! With the relaunch of its ZANDERS ikono art paper, more than ever the specialist maker of fine paper from Bergisch Gladbach in Germany is putting its weight behind technical brilliance, a sophisticated optical effect and a first-class feel. “With this historic further development of the modern classic “ZANDERS ikono” we are creating a paper quality that is a real pleasure for end customers and brand lovers but also for creative workers and productionists”, says Jitka Schumann, brand manager. On top of this there is exclusive distribution through IGEPA group GmbH in Germany and a powerful service concept that offers customers premium-range service from 2004 onwards.

Thanks to the striking quality improvements in terms of the optical characteristics such as whiteness, surface and feel, M-real Zanders is clearly positioning its art paper at the top of the company’s quality pyramid. The innovation programme also features a number of other highlights. For example, the “ikono silk ivory” quality is now presented in a lighter hue — the outcome being an aristocratic yet natural impression. The latest innovation in the ZANDERS ikono new product line — glittering in the truest sense of the word — is the “ZANDERS ikono specials”, the special-finish art paper with a pearlescent effect in gold, silver and bronze tones. These high-quality special papers are predestined for close attention and inspire desire for elegant applications. The restrained pearl effects on high-grade printed products present an impact of varying intensity, depending on the person looking at them: according to the angle of incidence of the light, the gold, silver and bronze tones appear stronger or weaker.
